Detective Inspector Jon Rouse leads the speak in eliminating child sex offenders and child exploitation.

Detective Inspector Jon Rouse, highly accomplished, vastly decorated detective and keynote speaker at 2021 Flourish Conference, takes the lead when it comes to targeting child sexual abuse.

Jon has over 36 years with the Queensland police department, leading Task Force Argos, a team dedicated to investigating online child sexual abuse and exploitation. 

Jon has led many national and international investigations into child sexual abuse and is highly passionate about delivering education and training on child protection.

Jon is highly respected and recognised worldwide, receiving many accolades including four Commissioners Certificates, two Queensland Police Excellence awards, the ‘Champion for Children Award’ in New York and Queensland Australian of the Year.

Within the police force, Jon has been honoured with the Australian Police Medal, the Queensland Police Medal, the National Service Medal, the Exemplary Conduct medal and the National Police Medal for extraordinary excellence and tireless service in child protection.

Jon’s accomplishments do not stop there, being the joint Subgroup Chair of the INTERPOL Covert Internet Investigators Group and a Director with The Society for the Policing of Cyberspace (POLCYB).

Most recently, Jon was appointed as the National Ambassador for ‘Act for Kids’, an Australian charity providing free therapy for families and children at risk of abuse or neglect.

Jon’s experience is vast, and he is in a league of his own when educating on the topic of child exploitation and protection. 

Keynote speaker at the 2021 Flourish Conference in Brisbane, Jon will share his knowledge and extensive experience on abuse prevention, eSafety, trauma informed education and the significant responsibility adults in leadership roles play in informing and educating young people.

Using the motto of Task Force Argos, Jon will ‘leave no stone unturned’, ensure to register for the 2021 Flourish Conference, 6th September 2021 in Brisbane. Delegates will be immersed in Jon’s knowledge and experience in tailored education theories and safety for children and young people.
