Jay is a Senior Educator and project officer at Body Safety Australia. A proud queer, trans and autistic person, Jay is passionate about embedding lived experience in their work protecting, educating and empowering children and young people.
Jay leads program development with Body Safety Australia, co-designing with children and drawing on the knowledge of the youth advisory council to develop programs that are not only evidence-based, but speak directly to the on and offline experiences and needs of young people.
Outside of their work with children, Jay also works with parents, carers and educators in order to empower all those charged with safeguarding young people. Jay has specialised knowledge working with LGBTQIA+ communities and in supporting gender equitable and trans inclusive education practice. Jay adopts a trauma-informed lens to their work, championing for safer and joyful childhoods.
